Deryn Cowdy began her career painting for theaters and photographic studios before restoring painted finishes for the National Trust, where she developed a lasting appreciation for historical materials and techniques—still evident in her work today. Now based in Miami, she has worked extensively as a muralist and photographer, focusing on gilded images of the Everglades and her semi-wild garden, a flourishing wildlife habitat. Her current work explores themes of regeneration, using natural elements from the garden to reveal hidden gems beneath the surface.
